BeActive Physiotherapy

Clinical Pilates

These sessions generate results by focusing on stabilising your spinal, abdominal and pelvic floor muscles.

At BeActive, the use of Clinical Pilates is based on physiotherapy principles and movement analysis. These exercises can be adapted for all levels of fitness, age and body types.

The exercises, developed by Australian physiotherapists, are based upon the understanding that core stability forms the basis for correct posture and improved muscle tone. By addressing the different muscle layers from deep to superficial, Clinical Pilates also overcomes the conditions that result from various forms of neck, shoulder and back pain. Supervised by our qualified physiotherapists with extensive training in Clinical Pilates, the exercises utilise both specific mat-based exercises with the latest spring-loaded equipment.

Optimal technique and exercise form is ensured with our onsite Real Time Ultrasound. This allows the patient to view their abdominal and spinal muscles in action and allows the physiotherapist to check whether they are working correctly to support their spine.

Each patient is prescribed an individualized progressive program using our Clinical Pilates equipment. Exercises can be modified to suit both your individual needs and fitness levels.
