As we get older, it’s important that we stay active while listening to the needs and abilities of our bodies to avoid injury.
Our Balance & Tone classes are designed to meet the specific needs of mature women, and are conducted by women’s health physiotherapists who can modify exercises throughout the class to suit your individual needs and abilities. To ensure you get the best support and guidance that you need along the way, we ensure class sizes are kept small, with up to 8 women participating in each class.
For mature women looking for a regular workout in a fun, safe, and supportive environment, Balance & Tone will help you build muscle and bone strength, increase fitness and improve balance, mobility and flexibility.
Each class has a different focus, enabling you to really focus on certain areas each time you participate. We provide all the equipment in our studio, so all you need to do is come along! You could even bring a friend for a little extra motivation.
Here’s a breakdown of the focus areas in our Balance & Tone classes:
BALANCE (Monday): Improve balance with this gently-paced class incorporating fit balls, balance beams, bands, and circuit equipment into the exercises. Specific exercises and modifications are offered to carefully meet your individual needs and abilities. Book Now
RESISTANCE (Tuesday & Thursday): Achieve better balance and reduce the risk of falls with resistance and weight bearing exercises designed to increase bone density and muscle mass. Specific exercises and modifications are offered to carefully meet your individual needs and abilities. Book Now
CORE (Saturday): Incorporating the principles of physiotherapy and Pilates, this class combines the fit ball with Pilates to ramp up your core control, mobility, flexibility and strength. Specific exercises and modifications are offered to carefully meet your individual needs and abilities. Book Now
